Keep July Fourth Celebrations Fun And Safe With These Essential Tips

We are just three months away from Fourth July Celebrations. Perhaps you have already planned how you are going to celebrate the day this year. There are also chances that you have decided the firework stores from where you will be buying firecrackers and other stuff.

In the mid of all these preparations, we ignore the safety part. To ensure your celebrations are completely safe, we have discussed some essential tips you need to follow.

Food

The consumption of several delectable dishes is what completes the celebrations. Talking about food safety, make sure to grill your meat at 160 degrees Fahrenheit or more. This ensures the disease-causing bacteria are killed. You must also check the list of food items with most pesticides to help in deciding what to avoid this year.

Firecrackers

One can’t think of the fourth July celebrations without taking sparklers into consideration. Almost every grownup feels nostalgic when he/she sees a child holding sparklers. Even though they are considered safe, sparklers can still prove dangerous to your kids. Make sure your kids use them only under your supervision. After it gets burned, dip the remnants in water for further safety.

Road safety

Isn’t it shocking that the highest rate of road fatalities is associated with the Fourth of July? This fact was reported by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety reports. On this day, you must stay off the road to protect yourself and your family from the possibility of an accident. Drive only when you are sober, and be extra cautious of your surroundings.

Grilling safety

Ensure that kids don’t go near grills. This is because propane tanks, gas leaks, and blocked tubes can result in explosions and fires. Avoid using the grill in the garage or any area that’s enclosed. Before using a grill, check hoses for leaks, cracks, and holes. The distance between the grill and siding, branches, or decks should be at least two feet.

Clothing

To protect your kids from sunlight, dress them in protective clothing. Wide-brimmed hats and light cotton fabric are perfect for this purpose. Use sunscreen lotion instead of a spray. The sprays come with dangers of inhalation and don’t offer adequate protection. The SPF of your sunscreen should be between 15 and 50. Make sure the fabric of the clothes doesn’t catch fire easily.

And of course, purchase your fireworks from a renowned store. If you are searching Chicago-based fireworks store, you can trust Uncle Sam’s Fireworks. This is the most trusted store in Chicago and Northwestern Indiana. Check all the available variants of fireworks from here: https://www.usfireworks.com.
